He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia Thompson Richey; his parents, William Richey Jr. and Elsie Poole Richey (Ethelyn Richey); and his grandparents, William, Lillie Richey, Woodie and Mamie Poole.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Richey and Tyler Richey; his grandchildren, Hunter Renfrow (Harleigh), Kailey McGraw (Devin), Nathan Renfrow (Jessi), Bailey Cotten and Case Cotten; his great grandchild Drake Owen McGraw; and his siblings, Carl Richey (Debbie), Charles "Bit" Richey (Shelia), Monica LeBlanc and Stephanie Scarbrock (Billy).
