With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Waddy Meek of Jonesboro, Louisiana, born in Campti, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Waddy's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Waddy has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He is survived by: his children, Linda DeLuee (Robert) and Paul Meek (Brenda); his siblings, Donald Lee Meek and Cathaline Burns (Kenneth); and his friends, Steve and DeAnna Stringer. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Waddy's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project, two causes that were close to his heart.
