It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orvin Maxwell of Jonesboro, Louisiana, who passed away on July 22, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Maxwell and Janie Maxwell; his brother Elwin; his sister-in-law Emma Maxwell; his sister Evelyn; his brother-in-law Victor Hughes; his son Rodney Maxwell; and his daughter-in-law Carrie Maxwell.
He is survived by: his wife Una Maxwell; his children, Sharon Shurling, Reggie Maxwell (Alice), Michael Maxwell and Janet Maxwell; his grandson Travis Shurling (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Charles Maxwell Shurling (Max) and Nathaniel Mendoza; his caregivers, Ricki Ashcraft, Diane Coker, Stephanie Springfield and Linda Tabor; his friends, Irma Ashcraft, Brenda and James Fitzpatrick; and also, Mary Jean, Sonny Standifer, Shirley, Jimmy Clark, Linda, Roy Zito, Jerry, Eleanor Maxwell and Morgan Dale Barkley.
