She was predeceased by: her husband James E. Smith, Sr.; her parents, Robert Masters and Maggie Masters; her daughter Diane Hanes; her grandson Richie Bovard; her great grandchild Tucker Wallis; and her siblings, Elouise Hudson, Louise Bates and Johnny K. Masters.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Wallis (Terry) and James "Buddy" Smith (Ginger); her grandchildren, Todd Garrett, Stephen Garrett, Scott, Relani Garrett, Kristi, Max Migues, Greg and Jeanie Wallis; and her stepgrandchildren, Angela Gautreaux, Todd and Christi Wallis. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren.
