He was predeceased by: his wife Inez Reed; his son Larry Reed; and his siblings, Willadene McMillin, Virgil Walsworth, Walton Reed, Marie Walsworth and Myrtis Jacobs.
He is survived by: his daughter Beverly Adkins (Paul) of Jonesboro; his daughter-in-law Tammy Wheeler (David Wheeler); his grandchildren, Jason Adkins of Choudrant, Anisha, Kevin Hall of Jonesboro, Austin, Christy Reed of Willis Point, TX, Brandon and Yvonne Reed of Jonesboro; and his siblings, Curtis Reed of Jonesboro and Edna Giles of Shipman, VA..
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Owens Memorial Chapel (2300 W California Ave, Ruston, LA 71270). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Springhill Baptist Church (2961 Walker Rd, Jonesboro, LA 71251).
