He is survived by: his wife Loretta Carney (Hodnett); his children, Katie Carney, Preston Carney, Bobby M. "BJ" Horton, Jr., Sharri, Michael Shawn Horton, Tiffany Owen (Horton), Lee Plunkett, Tony Diaz and Kelsey Palmer (Champlin); and his brother Dennis Carney (Tina). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home (228 Allen Ave, Jonesboro, LA 71251). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hughes Chapel Cemetery (16691 Hughes Chapel Rd, Bastrop, LA 71220).
