He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Jones and Myrtie Shively Jones; his siblings, William H. Jones, Jr. and Florence Jones Kirkpatrick; and his son-in-law James Robert Ferriss.
He is survived by: his children, Elwin D. Jones, Jr. (Pat Aulds), Rosalyn J. Ferriss and Janet J. Mott (Michael); his sister Opal Jones Wimberly; and also, Trey Jones, Stuart Ferriss, Will Jones, Janelle Mott Hudson, Paige Ferriss Humphrey, Joel Jones, Clarke Ferriss, Sarah Jones and Emily Jones. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
