He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gottfried and Bessie Lula Lester (Prine); his sister Shela Griffith; and his aunts and uncles, Elaine Carmichael, Jo Buckelew, Marvin Prine and Charles Prine.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Gottfried; his children, James Gottfried and Melanie Coody (Cagney); his grandchildren, Maylen Coody, Caius Coody and Cohen Coody; his brother Stormy Gottfried (Diane); his nephews, Ro Griffith and Myka Griffith; his aunt Mickey Knotts; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Griffith. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
