It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Lester (Jonesboro, Louisiana), who passed away on April 17, 2018, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Causey and Bertha Causey (Prine); her daughter Shela Griffith; and her siblings, Marvin Ray Prine of Charles Prine, Elaine Carmichael and Jo Buckelew.
She is survived by: her sons, Stormy Gottfried (Diane) and Clay Gottfried (Gail); her grandchildren, James Gottfried, Melanie Coody (Cagney), Ronald Griffith (Sylvia), Myka Griffith and Rusty Gottfried; her great grandchildren, Linley, Raylene, Maylen and Cauis; her son-in-law Ronnie Griffith; and her sister Mickey Knotts. She is also survived by 4 step grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren.
