She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Jack Jones and Lola Martin Jones; her siblings, Carl "Sonny" Jones, Jacqueline Parker and Betty Sue Guthrie; the father of her children Larry Hitt; and her great grandchild Michael Chandler Couch.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. Hurby Hitt (Lisa), Jeff Hitt (Leslie), Nancy Roberts and Lynn Oliver (Joe); her nephew Rev. Toby Guthrie of Jigger, LA; and her siblings, Joyce Taylor and Paul Ray Jones (Kay). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Jigger Apostolic Church (7197 LA-128, Jigger, LA 71249). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
