She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Higginbotham and Imelda Rogers Derise; and her sister Debbie Lejeune. She is survived by: her husband Ray A. Lopez; her children, Lisa Lopez and Ray "Allen" Lopez, Jr. (Victoria); her sister Susan Broussard (Bryan); her grandchildren, Chad "Eric" Dufrene (Kaeley), Brayden Oakes (Faith), Lynzie Oakes (Corey), Logan Lopez, Caden Lopez, Kali Lopez, Dustin Dean (Kaylee), Tyler Dean, Rodney Dean, Landon Dean, Angel Gill (Max) and Lilly Jackson; and her great grandchildren, Luke Oakes, Liam Oakes and Wesley Dean.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Matthews Funeral Home - Jennings (511 N Cutting Ave, Jennings, LA 70546). A rosary will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mermentau Cemetery South 13th.
