He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hetzel, Sr. and Magloria Miller Hetzel; his wife Betty Schlesinger Hetzel; his sisters, Ruby Hetzel Miller, Dorothy Hetzel Ritter, Effie Hetzel Bucklin and Joyce Hetzel Fletcher; his daughter Terri Hetzel Nugent; and his son-in-law Butch Pollard.
He is survived by: his children, Martha Robertson (Mike), Mary Pollard, Glen Hetzel (Mindy) and James Hetzel; his grandchildren, Joshua Nugent (Sara), Andrew Nugent (Haley), David Robertson, Greg Robertson (Jordan), Elizabeth Robin (Dillon), Julia Hornsby (Bryan), Benjamin Hetzel (Chelsey), Lacey Austin (Rudy), Will Hetzel (Hannah), Sarah Hetzel, Noah Hetzel, Drew Nugent and William Heinen; and also Howard Nugent Jr.. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
