He is survived by: his wife Leah Pousson Thomas; his children, James Nelson Thomas IV and Halle Marie Thomas of Welsh; his parents, James Nelson "Jimmy" Thomas II and Bridget Hoffpauir Thomas of Lake Arthur; his sister Jill Meyer Feverjean (Derrell) of Moss Bluff; his grandparents, Joseph Douglas Hoffpauir (Loretta) of Lake Arthur and Jean Regan Thomas of Welsh; his godparents, Doug Hoffpauir and Stephanie Benoit; and his godchildren, Anna Key and Jack Pousson. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
