She is survived by: her parents, John J. Smith and Joy Smith of Roanoke, LA; her son John Colin Smith of Lake Charles, LA; her close friend Marla Kay Granger of Lake Charles, LA; her brother Winston Scott Smith (Cyndi) of Youngsville, LA; her nieces and nephews, Colt Smith of Youngsville, LA and Cassie Smith of Baton Rouge, LA; and her sisters-in-law, Lisa LeJeune (Timmy), Rhonda Granger (Bridgette Hunter), Tricia Richard (Tad) and Kyla Thibodeaux (David).
Shelly deeply loved her family and community and dedicated her efforts to successfully organizing benefits and events for the Alzheimer's Association where she organized Team Granger as well as events to support Breast Cancer Awareness.
