He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivy LaBauve and Carmette LeGros LaBauve; his wife Hilda Pete Labauve; his children, Gaylynn LaBauve, Damie LaBauve, Roger Gary and Malcolm Gary; and his siblings, Gracie Villemarette, Ivy LaBauve, Jr. and Herman LaBauve.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Brunette (Jerald), Jolane Dupont (Brian), Serena LaBauve, Phyllis Deshotel, Randy Gary and John LaBauve, Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Linda Gary. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
