He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arba Louis and Amy Valdetero Reed; his wife Jean Thompson Reed; his children, Debbie Detiveaux (Carl) of Lafayette, Pam Guinn of Jennings, Rhonda Self (Tom) of Bossier City, Kenneth Reed (Colette) of Jennings and Wayne Reed (Lisa) of Cleveland, GA.; his siblings, Frances Reed, Marjorie "Tootsie" LeJeune, Melva Lee Reed, William Reed, Jimmy Reed and A. L. Reed, Jr.; his son-in-law Peter Guinn; and his nephews, Billy LeJeune, Keith Reed and A. L. Reed, III. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
