It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Clayton Whitman (Jennings, Louisiana), who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad, Sr. Whitman and Ora Monceaux Whitman; his wife Barbara Conner Whitman; his great grandchild Chloe Moore; and his siblings, Nathan Whitman, Raenita Elliot, Donald Whitman, Conrad Whitman, Jr., Herbert Whitman, Pearl Broussard, Shirley Hurst, Betty Belk, Margie Green, Vera Perry, Linda Bennett, Carolyn Hubert, Mildred Anthony and Joyce Hester.
He is survived by: his friend Howard; his children, Mark Whitman (Donna) of Portsmouth, Wayne Whitman (Lisa) of Gueydan, Monica Blanchard of Lake Charles, Michelle Bentley (Jeff) of Hathaway and Rachel Suire (Addison) of Hathaway; and his siblings, Martha and Lloyd Whitman. He is also survived by His 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren.
