He was predeceased by: his father Fredrick James Matthews, Sr.; his son Akeem Ceasar; and his grandparents, Clarence Beriod, Ethel Beriod and Estelle Matthews.
He is survived by: his mother Loretta M. Beroid of Mermentau, LA; his daughter Kimberly M. Arceneaux of Lake Charles, LA; his sister Ethel A. Matthews of Jennings, LA; his half-sister Charlotte L. Matthews; and his grandchildren, Tylon J. White, Tyron Jamar Arceneaux and Dominick M. Hollier Jr.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Semien-Lewis Mortuary (819 N State St, Jennings, LA 70546). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 12:44 PM at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (1620 Evangeline Hwy, Jennings, LA 70546).
