He is survived by: his daughters, Kayla Bonnette of Lafayette, LA and Dana Mack of Conroe, TX; his grandchildren, Michael Bonnette and Amber Plowman Austin Mack (Jonathan); his sisters, Grace Simon, Nolia Boutin, Ida Prejean and Joyce Boutin; and the mother of his children Thelma Abraham Boutin.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Fred four years ago when my daughter moved to Lafayette. His stories of the Korean War that he fought in were astounding and gratifying that we have our freedom because of this brave man. It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Fred and I am grateful for his kindness that he bestowed upon my daughter, Cammie. RIP Sir! We appreciate your bravery and courage you endured to give us our freedom.
