It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily McGee of Jennings, Louisiana, born in Gueydan, Louisiana, who passed away on June 2, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Broussard and Cora Hungerford Broussard; her husband Galvin "Red" McGee of Jennings, LA; her daughters, Gale Richard (David) of Lake Arthur, LA, Michelle Bonin (Peter) of Jennings, LA and Kristie Sheppard (Rick) of Spanish Fort, AL; her siblings, Tracey Broussard "Kitty" of Sugarland, TX, Clara Touchet of Lake Arthur, LA, Beradina Elkins of Gueydan, LA, Laverne Scott (Bennett) of Gueydan, LA and Lula LeBlanc of Lake Arthur, LA; her grandchildren, Candace, Jennifer, Jamie, Adam, Kayla, Corey, Chaé, Paige, Shawne, Quinlan and Galvin; and her brothers, Robert Broussard and Kenneth Broussard. She was also cherished by her twenty-three great grandchildren.
