He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman McFarlain and Winnie Sonnier McFarlain; and his wife Zula McFarlain. He is survived by: his son Earl McFarlain, Jr. (Shana Landry) of Jennings, LA; his stepsons, Bret Deshotel (Michelle) of Lafayette, LA and John Allen Deshotel (Rachelle) of Houston, TX; his daughters, Dessie Simar Prejean (Wayne) of Jennings, LA, Diane Trahan (Steve) of Iota, LA and Celina Kay McFarlain of Jennings, LA; and his stepdaughter Karen Ann Deshotel of Austin, TX. He is also survived by his nineteen grandchildren, & twenty great grandchildren.
