He was predeceased by: his daughter Brittney Gary; his niece Tiffany Newsom; his parents-in-law, Louise Daigle and James Addison; his nephew Jacob Cooley; and his brother-in-law Darrell Cooley.
He is survived by: his significant other Teresa Gary; his children, Velvet Gary, Crystal "Chris" Lasher, Chelsie Lott and Bryan "BJ" Gary; and his siblings, Tina "Dale" Guinn, Euman "Butch" Gary and Roderick "Donna" Gary. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; four godchildren; eight nieces and six nephews.
