He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Theunissen, Sr. and Lillian Theunissen (Green); and his siblings, Daisy, Gertie, Daniel, Peter Jr. and Pirmin.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Theunissen (Bryan); his sons, Bernan Jr. "Bub" (Jamie), Randy (Kay), Kendall and Marcus (Jeri); and his siblings, Jerry and Julo Theunissen. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
