He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Faye Spence (Dubose); his parents, Robert Franklin and Myrtle Lee Spence; and his brothers, Horace Spence and Derbert Spence.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Spence, Jr. (Linda) of Jena Louisiana, Terry Spence (Kathy) of Manifest Louisiana, Bruce Spence (Amy) of Jena Louisiana, Janice Nolker (Stephen) of Jena Louisiana and Cindy Fitzgerald (Eugene) of Jena Louisiana; and his sister Lou Ellen Adams (Max) of Goldonna Louisiana. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1. 5 great great grandchildren.
