She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Unicey (Jones) and Lee Davis Bethard; her husband William "Bill" Pate; and her son-in-law Kenneth Hanks. She is survived by: her daughters, Billie (Fred Grunden), Janell Hanks and Mary Helen (Pete Johnson); her grandchildren, Brian Grunden, Janet Purcell (Aaron), Gretchen Grunden, Catherine Hanks, Aaron Hanks (Ashley), Julie Harris (Joshua), Kristel Hise (Coy), Zach Johnson (Joanna) and Sonny Lawson (Brianne Banasik); her great grandchildren, Clayton Purcell, Lane Purcell, Jesse Purcell, Ian Harris, Grant Hanks, Margo Hanks, Gracie Hise, Jody Hise and Emersen Johnson; and her sister-in-law Frances Bethard of Orange. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
