Young and Magdalene Young of Washington; his children, Tarris Ray Young Sr. and Linda Young-Simmond; and his siblings, Jessie Mae of Washington, Billy Manning, Pearlene Tuggle (Lord), Dorothy Williams, Roosevelt Beau Young and Dessie Mae Hamilton (Walter).

He is survived by: his son Jena; his wife Sylvia Anderson of Shreveport; his children, Cecelia Beal (Shreveport) of Detroit, Lisa Young of Detroit, Lashawn Young of Detroit, Latrice Williams (Lamonte) of Detroit, LaDonna Young of Detroit and John Young (Mary) of Alexandria; his sisters, Dottie Jean Young-Foster (Los Angeles) and Linda Marie Young-Phillips (Shreveport); and his aunt Laura Richardson.
