He was predeceased by: his former wife Clarice Walker Butler; his daughter Nelda Butler Rosier; his parents, Charlie Butler and Leola Butler; and his siblings, Boyce, Gerald, Lamar Butler, Roxie Parker and Evon Tyson.
He is survived by: his wife Nita Butler; his daughter Nina Butler Flynn (John); his son-in-law Johnny Rosier; his brother Ray Butler; his grandchildren, Allison Delatte (Ronnie), Rob West (Melinda), Rebecca Brodnax (Brian) and David Flynn (Aspen); and his great grandchildren, Emily, Isabella Falanga, Brandon, Christopher West, Mary Claire, Molly, Taylor Brodnax, Anna Flynn and Tucker McCoy. He is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be in his memory to St Jude's or The Food Bank.
