He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Hinson and Katie Simms; his stepson Gustave Lilliman; and his siblings, Francis McInnis, Margaret Kincaid, Dorcas Hinson and Orvis Drew Hinson.
He is survived by: his former wife Gloria Ruth Breland; his wife Mary Sue Hinson; his children, Michelle Love and Shaun Hinson; his stepchildren, Wendy Landry, William Lilliman and Christal Lee; and his sister Orpha Crouch. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Nebo Baptist Church (305 LA-777, Jena, LA 71342).
