She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Jerome L. King Sr., Burta Smithson King, Thomas Sidney Jeter and Birdie Parker Jeter; her parents, Jewel Smithson King Sr. and Alice Lavice Jeter King; and her brother Jewel Smithson King Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Richard Milton of Olla, LA; her children, Charles Lamar Posey of Baton Rouge, LA, Michael Gene Posey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Jo Alice Posey of Pineville, LA; her grandchildren, Alice Noel Lee of Ruston, LA, Marla Cherie Posey of Baton Rouge, LA and Reuben Charles Posey of Austin, TX; her great grandchildren, Chetney and Cayden Baronet of Lake Charles, LA; her son-in-law Michael Spivey; and her siblings, Florene King Bonner of Jonesville, LA, Mary King Poland (Shep) of Terra Haute, IN, Gene Austin King (Olga) of Kerrville, TX and Arthur Ray King (Nancy) of Ferriday, LA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Young's Funeral Home Chapel (2313 4th St, Jonesville, LA 71343). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
