He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Willard "Cutler" and Hattie Marie Thompson; his son Keith Darren Thompson; his granddaughter Tiffany Brooke Wishum; his former wife Arthurene Terrell; and his siblings, Glen, Dale, James, Benny, Billy Wayne, Ray, Gerald Thompson, Eva Thompson, Nadine Thompson and Virginia Ridgeway.
He is survived by: his wife Susie Nell Young Thompson; his children, Phillip Thompson Jr., Rickie Thompson (Michele), David Lee Thompson (Jill), Renee Thompson and Shannon Windham (Kevin); and his siblings, Roger Thompson and Maxine Thompson Bailey. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and many friends.
