Edwards; her parents, Sylvester Shelton and Gracie Clavelle Shelton; her son-in-law Samuel Williams, Jr.; and her siblings, Ruth S. Molo, Helen S. Burney, Birdie Lee Shelton, Dorothy S. Gabriel, Elton Shelton, Preston Shelton, Dan Shelton, Henry "Jint Shelton, Zahir Aleem, K'Era Davis and Rainan Preston.
She is survived by: her children, Kerry James Edwards of Jeanerette, LA, Elaine Edwards Handy of Baton Rouge, LA, Marjorie Edwards Harris (Leroy) of Oklahoma City, OK, Tarajee Christine Edwards Aleem of New Orleans, LA and Jacquelyn Edwards Davis of Jeanerette, LA; her niece Barbara S. Hills of Jeanerette, LA; and her adoptive children, Barbara, Norma, Ruby, Linda, Leroy and Shirley. She is also survived by twenty four grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required at the church and cemetery.
