He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Alexander Sr. and Gloria Jones Alexander; his brother Fredrick Alexander Sr.; his grandparents, Moses Alexander Sr., Minerva Alexander, Shedrick Jones Sr. and Pearl Jones; his nephew Durall Alexander Sr.; his great-niece Mariah Francis; and his brother-in-law Carlton Rener.
He is survived by: his close friend Sharon Lambert of Gonzales, Louisiana; his daughter Taryn Frison (Troy); his grandchildren, Troy J. Frison and Troi'lonna Frison of Erie, Pennsylvania; his siblings, Joseph Alexander Jr. (Flonetta) of Ashton, Darrel Alexander Sr. of Jeanerette, Rev. Arthur L. Alexander (Cynthia) of Jeanerette, Christopher Alexander Sr. (Alondra) of Jeanerette, Louisiana, Minerva Rener of Jeanerette, Regina Ceaser (Stanford) of New Iberia and Christine Landry (Byron) of New Iberia, Louisiana; his sister-in-law Cynthia R. Alexander of Jeanerette, Louisiana.; and his goddaughter Treynell Frederick.
