He was predeceased by: his parent Loretta Butts; his brothers, Timothy Butts, Shelton Butts and Kerry Butts, Sr.; and his grandparents, Victor and Bernice Johnson Butts.
He is survived by: his fiancée Mary; his children, Ebonae Merritte, Natasha Marks, Dontre Austin and Jaquan Frederick; his siblings, Marjorie Mitchell (Charles), Emmanuel Butts, Sr. (Natalie), Deneris Butts (Carla), Shawndell Pryor (Anthony) and LaShequa Tauriac (Kevin); his grandchildren, Mi'Angel Williams, Ny'Azia, Na'Zyiah Davis, Armani Marks, Daylen, London and Hailyn Austin; his godchild Alaysha Lofton; his close friend Wendell Marks; and also, Shirlmia Stansbury and Robert Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
