She was predeceased by: her parents, John Leston Hayes, Sr. and Seraphine Lasseigne Hayes; and her siblings, Hazel Hayes, Dorothy Charpentier, Audrey Courville and Joseph Hayes.

She is survived by: her husband Walter Frioux of Jeanerette; her daughter Teena M. Borel of Jeanerette; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Borel (Lillian), Heather Renee Borel and Alyssa Marianne Frioux; her great grandchildren, Gracie Borel, DeAndre Clay, Brooklyn Albert and Bella Albert; her siblings, John Leston Hayes, Jr., Deacon Russell Hayes, Sr. (Connie), Julia Simoneaux (Stoney) and Rita Melancon (Ronald); and her brother-in-law Johnny Friou (Mary). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
