She is survived by: her husband Allen Townsend, Jr. of Jeanerette, LA; her children, Ramesh Townsend (Shamikka) of Lafayette, LA and Olainkcar Townsend of Jeanerette, LA; her siblings, Stephen Canning, Roy Rathan (Eilleen), Derrick Canning, Dennis Canning (Ethlen), Theis "Jean" Fritz (Jerry), Flora Steckler (Dave), Erva Canning Carmino (Melville), Peggy Canning, Molly Thomas (Ronnie), Beryl Gueberra and Lynn Canning (Bastin); her brother-in-law Thomas William Townsend; and her grandchildren, Anjahnelle Townsend and Ariyelle Townsend. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In adherence to state health guidelines, all attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing at the church.
