It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janie Felton Manuel of Jeanerette, Louisiana, who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Felton and Gertrude Felton; her sister Lillie Boliver-Wright; and the father of her children Hilton Manuel, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Audwinn Manuel (Nashunte) of Shreveport, LA, Hilton Manuel, Jr. (Angela) of Jacksonville, FL, Marcus Manuel, Sr. of Atlanta, GA and Angela Manuel Gray (Mark Sr.) of New Iberia, LA; her niece Lydia Wright of Pearland; her grandchildren, Alexondria Priestley Mark Gray, Jr. (Anthony), Mathew Gray, Aiden Manuel, Marcus Manuel, Jr., Mariah Manuel, Ellington Dias (Taylor), Jessalyn Daggs and Glenda Howard (Centrell); and her great grandchildren, Pahyten Martin, Kenji Gray of Yelena Priestley, Mi, Amor Gray and Mi'Yori Gray. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint Paul United Methodist Church (1405 Annie R Moore, Jeanerette, LA 70544). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
