He was predeceased by: his wife Marion Kern Bergeron; his parents, James J. Bergeron, Sr. and Lillian Eve Evans Bergeron; his siblings, James J. Bergeron, Jr., Howard P. Bergeron, Thomas Evans Bergeron and May Dee Bergeron Billiot; and his parents-in-law, Sidney "Red" Kern and Gertrude Alleman Kern.
He is survived by: his children, Steven J. Bergeron (Kathy) of Northport, Alabama, Vanessa B. LaFont (Rodney) of Jeanerette, Laura B. Domangue (Tommy) of Tomball, Texas and Rachel B. Hope (Josef) of Broussard, LA.; his grandchildren, Aimee B. Van Dahl of LaCrosse, Antoinette B. Battles (Toni), Jared P. Dorsey (Ashley) of Carencro, LA, Christopher J. Bergeron (Lisa) of Raleigh, N. C., Nicholas Tharp of Youngsville, LA and Colin Tharp of New Iberia, LA.; his great grandchildren, Adam Bergeron of Baton Rouge, LA, Dylan VanDahl of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Austin T. Bergeron of Northport, Alabama, Gabriel Battles of Duncanville, Alabama, Abel Irvin Bergeron of Raleigh, N. C., Madeline Bergeron of Raleigh, N. C., Linden B. Dorsey of Carencro, LA and Laila G. Battles of Duncanville; and his sister Sylvia B. Picheloup of New Iberia, LA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.
