She was predeceased by: her husband Wilfred Edwards, Sr.; her children, Peterson Mathews Edwards and Sonya Edwards; her granddaughter Christen Dorsey; her siblings, Celestine Mathews, Van B. Mathews and Rose Archangel; and her parents, Peterson, Sr. Mathews and Elizabeth A. Mathews.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Edwards, Harold Edwards, Sr., Sanford Edwards, Sr., Wilfred Edwards, Jr., Kenneth Edwards, Sr., Keith J. Edwards, Sr., Terrence Edwards, Sandra E. Lockett, Veronica Edwards, Patricia E. Sereal and LaTonya Edwards; and her siblings, Peterson Mathews, Jr. of Four Corners, O'Neal Mathews (Ruby) of Houston, Leroy August (Doris) of Houston, Kevin Lewis, Keith Lewis (Serena) of Jeanerette, LA, Sherry Matthews (Pastor) and Laurie Hardin. She is also survived by forty nine grandchildren, sixty great grandchildren, and nineteen great grand-children.
