He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Jenkins Bernard and Andrew Bernard, Sr.; his grandson Raydell Williams; his great grandchild Rah'trell Feist; his siblings, Moses Bernard, Sr., Andrew Bernard, Jr., Amelia Bernard, Alice B. Alexander, Virginia Williams, Jessie Mae Iford and Mary Lee Bernard; his sister-in-law Ella Mae Sereal Bernard; and his mother-in-law Alice Sereal Carr.
He is survived by: his wife Elouise Bernard of Jeanerette; his children, David Bernard, Jr. (Tricia) of Sherwood, Leonard Bernard (Carol), Kenneth Bernard (Keisha) of Jeanerette, Wanda Sereal (Lathaniel) of Jeanerette, Farrah Bernard (Steven) of Jeanerette and Gloria Young of Jeanerette; his siblings, Elton Bernard, Sr. of Lake Charles, Joseph Bernard of Florida, Gertrude Bernard Hagger, Margaret Bernard, Gustina Lewis and Georgia Williamson; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Manuel and Diane Hockless. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
