He was predeceased by: his former wives, Mary Alice Derouen Blanchard and Ruby Stroud Blanchard; his parents, Rene Blanchard and Anita Gaudet Blanchard; his stepchildren, Jack "Buddy" St and Jeannie Mach; and his siblings, Regina Frederick, Marie Ann, Lena Mae "Flosie" Businell, Frank Blanchard, Elton Blanchard and Abel Blanchard.
He is survived by: his children, William Blanchard (Carol Tumey) of Saline County, Carolyn Fontenot (Steve) of New Iberia and Marlene Landry (Chris) of Coteau; his stepdaughter Ruby Benoit; and his siblings, Rita Charpentier, Beatrice Judice, Lucy Marcotte, Emily Blanchard, Irene Blanco and Ambrose "Boo" Blanchard. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
