It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Smith Stewart of Jarreau, Louisiana, born in Corinth, Mississippi, who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew J. Stewart; her parents, Ben Smith and Ruthie Smith; her son-in-law Richard H. Bowser; her nephew Damon M. Dalferes; and her siblings, Benjamin Smith, Louise King, Earline Lanehart, Artie Graham, Ella Flowers and Jennie Wells.
She is survived by: her children, Connie S. Bowser, Andrew J. Stewart, Jr., Cindy Bell (Larry) and Cherri Decoteau (Brad); her grandchildren, Rhiannona Babineaux (Nelton), Ryan Bowser (Kayla), Andrew Stewart (Jennifer) and Kyle J. Bonaventure; her great grandchildren, Layla Babineaux, James Stewart, Bristol Bowser, Tyler Thompson and Turner Thompson; and her brothers, Bob (Easter), Mack (Beverly) and Jack Smith (Elaine).
Due to current COVID restrictions, a private service to honor and celebrate Edna's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
