He is survived by: his children, Robert (Jennifer), Sonya Pate, Hope Pate (Luis), Latisha Hamlett (Bryan) and Dana Manuel (Steven); his grandchildren, Isaac, Jacob, A'loria, A'Dian, John, Jeremy, Josh, Kayle, Anna, Alshara, Kacey, Anthony, Cassidy, Liz and Juniper; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Delilah and Tate.
