She was predeceased by: her former husband J. L. Matthews; her husband Edward "Bobby" Chapman; her son Mark A. Matthews; her grandson Steven Bozeman; and her stepgranddaughter DeAnne Spillman.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Barbara Millet Matthews; her stepchildren, Conrad Chapman (Denise), Greg Chapman (Sherri), Sandy Connell and Rick Chapman (Lois Anne); her sister Janie Birch; and her granddaughter Jennifer Matthews Bozeman. She is also survived by 7 step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. (4230 High St, Zachary, LA 70791). A graveside service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (73372 Old Springcreek Rd, Kentwood, LA 70444).
