She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Thomas; and her parents, O. E. "Cowboy" Gayle and Bessie Gayle. She is survived by: her daughter Wanda Carrier (Chris Carrier) of Zachary; her siblings, Faye Spradley (Jimmy) of Baton Rouge and John Wayne Gayle of Jackson; her grandchildren, Christopher Carrier of Portland, OR and Cameron Carrier (Victoria) of LaPlace, LA; her great grandchildren, Cate Carrier and Carter Carrier; her goddaughters, Debbie Johnson and Heather Creel; and her aunts, Dot Teer of Denham Springs and Betty Ruth Greer of Oxford, MS. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
