She was predeceased by: her parents, D. W. Brown and Peggy Pierce Brown; her nephew Preston Stoutes; and her great-niece Taylor Oliver. She is survived by: her son Joe Hodges, IV; her siblings, DeWayne Brown (Sue), Richard Brown (Lisa), Wade Brown (Reeca), Lloyd Brown, Karen Stoutes (Tim) and Thomas Brown (Cathy); and her fiancé Todd Chandler.
