He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Brashear and Sallie Brashear (LeFranc); his siblings, Inez, Thelma, Vernice, Elwell, LeRoy, Herbert, Carson, Shirley, Christine, Lola, Dorothea, Lucille and Waldon; and his great grandchild Alexis Grace Mercer.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Brashear; his children, Thomas "Tommy" Brashear, Jr. (Denise), Kimberly "Kim" Talbot (Bennett) and John Brashear (Belinda); his grandchildren, Amber Buller Perry (Kevin), Casey Mercer, Kade Brashear, Morgan Talbot Ardoin (Jaret), Kyle Mercer, Kelsey Brashear Fisher (Colt) and Kolbie Brashear Richard (Justin); and his great grandchildren, Kaegen Perry, Aiden Perry, Bryce Richard, Landon Richard, James Mercer, Avery Mercer, Quaid Fisher, Kullen Richard and Mazie Lou Ardoin.
