He was predeceased by: his parents, George Calvin and Maxie Wedgeworth Newman; his wife Margaret Newman; his children, Maxine Newman, Robert E. Newman, Jr., Donald Newman and Daniel Newman; and his siblings, Mary Busby, Maxine Marsh, George Newman, Otis Newman, Martha Cutting and Hugh Mac Newman.
He is survived by: his children, Angelo Newman (Shellie), Edward Holland (Colleen), Eunice Thomas Newman and Tricia Jean Newman; his stepchildren, Debbie Holland and Brian Bellard; and his sisters, Laurie Newman Guillory and Vickie LeBleu. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
