He was predeceased by: his parents, R. D. Coker and Maxine Coker (Waddle); his wife Katherine Coker; his son Jimmy Hegwood; his siblings, David Coker and Shemery Kay Coker; his son-in-law Phillip Manuel; and his grandson Aspen Manuel.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Ponder (Jean Racine), Jacob Manuel, Jacquelyn Manuel, Joycedine Fontenot (Alex Gilbert), Jennifer Keith and Vickie Tapp; his brothers, Kenneth Coker, Doug Coker, Mickey Coker, Gary "Red" Coker and Donald Coker; his grandchildren, Jasper Fontenot, Molly, Minka, Zoe Keith and Lumi Davis; and his pet Lucy.
