She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Sonnier and Martha Sonnier (Leger); her husband Virgil Joseph Smith; her granddaughter Kristen; and her great grandchild Jonah.
She is survived by: her children, Virgil Josiah Smith (Karen) and April Smith; her siblings, George Sonnier (Ruby), Lynda Sonnier (Jerry) and Donna Cormier (Jeff); her grandchildren, David, Adriene and Autumn; her great grandchildren, Aubree and Ethan; her nephews, Scott Sonnier, Brandon Cormier and Tyler Cormier; and her extended family, Jason, Katrina, Emma and Dylan Freeman.
