He is survived by: his sister Lorice LaBouve Moore; his stepdaughter Leona Ickes; his grandchildren, Lacey Cates, Simon Carter, Jr., Stephen Carter and James Kubisch; his great grandchild Josenid; and his grandsons, Enrique, Braxton, Brandon, Tyler and Jay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A reception was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Johnson & Brown Funeral Home (505 US-90, Iowa, LA 70647). A rosary was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
